Departure
At Maloba, conservation is the foundation of everything we do.
More than 20,000 hectares of wilderness have been restored, creating a sanctuary where nature reclaims its course and over 330 species of wildlife and birds thrive.
Guests are invited to take part in this work by joining a rhino GPS replacement and assisting rangers with buffalo ear-tag removals. These rare encounters can be booked as part of your stay and offer an authentic glimpse into conservation in action.
Restoring the land, protecting wildlife, and preserving the natural balance of our ecosystem. Every contribution helps sustain habitats and supports our dedicated Anti-Poaching Unit that safeguards rhinos and other wildlife day and night.
Together, we work toward a self-sustaining wilderness where nature thrives freely, just as it was the day before yesterday.
Maloba is home to extraordinary wildlife, from white and black rhino to cheetah and buffalo, together with rare species such as aardvark, aardwolf, bat-eared fox, brown hyena, caracal and
the black footed cat. With greater chances of sightings here than in Kruger, the reserve will become even more remarkable with the reintroduction of lions in 2026.
Gastronomy at Maloba is designed as an experience in itself. Each menu reflects a dialogue between Africa’s finest ingredients and international inspiration, created with precision by our culinary team.
From breakfast on the terrace to long, lingering lunches and multi-course lodge dinners, every meal is crafted to surprise and delight.
Dining settings change constantly, ensuring no two meals are alike: an elegant evening in the restaurant, a starlit bush dinner surrounded by lanterns, or a seasonal farm-to-table
lunch infused with the freshness of the reserve’s gardens. These moments are
